reflection 1

The first week of senior project, is done! This week was a super fun week filled with many adventures and hard work. I started off the week by changing my senior project to lead to a healthier lifestyle for my last 2 weeks of senior year. On the first day, I began making my workout plan and went on the hike to the cabin with Nat and Meg. We learned a lot about nature and we got lost for a little bit and learned more about reading signs in the woods. On the second day, I did one of the workouts that I created and it actually took me a while. I learned a lot about my body and how far I can push myself. I also played tennis with Tate and learned that tennis is actually a lot of cardio especially when it’s hot outside. It is a super fun way to be active and outside and trick yourself into doing a workout. On the third day, I went golfing with Jack. Golfing is definitely not my strong suit so it was difficult for me to get dialed in. It was super hot and buggy so I had to learn to perform even with distractions. Being outside all morning really kick-started my day and made me feel very happy and productive. I also did more workouts throughout the week which helped me gain strength and confidence in my knee. Making my own workouts and having a plan before going into the gym really helped me stay engaged and complete what I needed to do. This week I also biked from Boscawen with Nat and Meg. We thought this journey was only going to be 15 miles but turns out it was 21. The ride was mostly flat and shady which was super lucky. I had never biked to school before so I had a really fun time. I don't really bike too often so it was good for me to get out on the trail with my friends. Starting my day off with a fun outdoor activity that involves some aspect of working out really helps me feel like I had a productive start to my day and helps me stay focused throughout my day.
